Princess Bride Cupcake Toppers #MovieMonday
Last Updated on August 2, 2017 by lydiaf1963
With Valentine’s Day coming up a group of bloggers have gotten together to celebrate a romantic movie and the group chose The Princess Bride, one of the most quotable films ever.
It’s hard to believe this movie was released in 1987. I was a young bride and two years away from becoming a mother. I don’t remember watching the movie in the theater but we did have it on VHS when my daughter was small.
The movie wasn’t exactly a box office hit, but its popularity in the home video market helped it earn a place on several All Time lists, including the AFI’s 100 best love stories.
Over the years many of the quotes from the movie have made it into popular culture including:
Is this a kissing book?
I killed you too quickly last time.
You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.
Have fun stormin’ the castle!
You keep using that word, I do not think you know what it means.
The word, of course is…
I made these cute cupcake toppers in Microsoft Word using the film’s catchphrases plus my own graphics and fonts. You’ll find a link to a printable PDF file below, but you could certainly make your own with your favorite graphics program. Cut them out with scissors (my favorites) or use a 2 inch punch (affiliate links)
Click the photo above to download the free PDF file. Then make or purchase some cupcakes and pop the toppers in place.
I’m not the only one making a Princess Bride project! There’s a whole bunch of us participating in #MovieMondays…check out the posts in the roundup below.
Your cupcake toppers are perfect to celebrate The Princess Bride. So many fun catch phrases!
We’re more of a Monty Python quoting family, but my kids and I toss some of these around quite frequently!
These are so fun!!! The Wuv Twu Wuv one made me actually LOL. Great job, and such pretty colours.
I’ve been saying it to my husband and it’s driving him crazy! He’s never seen The Princess Bride and has zero desire to watch it, but Wuv Twu Wuv is why I married him 🙂
Love these cupcake toppers!
Thank you! They were fun to make. It’s been awhile since I’ve done any work in MS Word, so it was a nice tune up, too 🙂
