Creatively Crafty Link Party #5
Last Updated on March 12, 2016 by lydiaf1963
Hello you creative people! Welcome to Week 5 of the Creatively Crafty Link Party hosted by the Creative Crafters Blogging Group! We’re excited for St. Patrick’s Day and warmer weather and can’t wait to see what you share with us this week!
First a quick update: Rick and I have arrived safely in Maryland, and we have celebrated my grandson’s first birthday. My daughter had a houseful of people for P’s party. He only has one cousin at the moment, but that will be changing in a few months when Cousin B will welcome a new baby brother. So while we didn’t have a lot of young ones on hand, there were plenty of grandparents, aunts, uncles and even a couple great grandparents.
There was a nice buffet of food, the highlight of which was a spiral cut ham and surprisingly, a jar of candied jalapeno peppers. Those made a great bite with a little cream cheese spread on a cracker. For decoration my daughter printed out photos of the baby, cut out the faces, added paper party hats and strung them to make a couple banners. She also attached them to straws to use as cupcake toppers (you may have seen that in last week’s link up).
In addition to the banners, my daughter cut out the letters O N E and attached them to a plain t shirt with fusible interfacing. A little puffy paint added a nice outline and hid the edges.
So now that the party is over and we’ve caught up with our friends I hope to start blogging regularly again both here and on Lydia’s Flexitarian Kitchen. I haven’t been idle during this time, my knitting traveled with me and I was even able to carry my 4mm wooden needles on the plane and work during the flight. The points are smaller than a pencil so I hoped they’d be OK but I was prepared to remove the tips from the cable if necessary.
Anyway, on to the party!
First things first…the Featured Post!
There were a couple projects which caught my eye but I am utterly charmed by this printable from Aspen Jay. It features an Irish prayer that’s appropriate year round. My favorite part is the contrast between the gold and green fonts. I have aspirations to improve my ability to create this type of graphic and pieces like this are inspiring!
Feel free to download our Featured Button and display it on your post! I will be pinning your project to our group board as well as a few other Pinterest boards and sharing on other social media as well. I’m sure others will love it, too!
Now, let’s move on to the round up. Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week!
Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU! Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff.

-Link to a specific post, not your home page.
-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog.
Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress.
Don’t forget to take the time to visit a link or two and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done! Also, it would help grow the party if you could share about it on social media. Use the buttons below and THANKS!
