I bought a sewing machine to “share” with my daughter. She’ll have the keeping and use of it when we’re in Spain. So I’ve been spending the last week cutting, pinning, seaming (and cussing). I started out making some simple napkins and place mats and have worked my way up to simple bags. I have never set a zipper before, can you believe that? All the bags so far have been pressed into duty to hold various notions (I bet I’ve spent more on them than on the sewing machine!).

I am totally in love with Sandra’s crocheted tunic. It’s gorgeous and hip, with it’s combination of lace and granny squares. The colors are wonderful, too. Use Google translate to access the instructions.
