We’re having a Christmas in July challenge and you’re invited to join in! My project is a set of gift box napkin rings inspired by some I saw on Wayfair. Theirs are some sort of metal, but I thought it would be fun and challenging to make paper boxes and use Christmas scrapbook paper.
This is the story of Vanessa, the foam head who transformed from a plain jane into a swan. Well, not quite a swan. But she definitely looks more interesting than she used to. Now she’s a piece of decoupage styrofoam head art. Check her out before her transformation:
I don’t fuss much with makeup but I do have some and wear it on a regular basis. I needed a place to not only store it, but also make it convenient to use. I recently made a couple storage boxes using recycled materials to organize my cosmetics and decorated them with washi tape. Making…
I’ll bet you’ve seen these 3D paper snowflakes on Pinterest or YouTube. They’re a lot of fun to make and you can use almost any size and type of paper to make them. It’s a great way to recycle paper, too. I thought I’d tell you about the snowflakes I made to go with my…

There are over 400 species…
This month’s Creative Craft Bloggers Challenge has the theme Red, White or Blue. I decided to revisit a fun origami craft from Christmas, folding paper stars.
I’m so pleased with this pretty floral wall hanging made from accordion paper flowers. It’s part of this month’s Garden Challenge of the Creative Craft Bloggers Group. I’d originally intended to make something that would go outside but the weather and the local germs didn’t cooperate and I missed the deadline. This project– inspired by…
When I was researching how to make my Shamrock Door Hanging I came across a set of pins where someone had cut out a bunch of circles in various colors and used a sewing machine to make long strips for a garland. They were very cute and since I had all the paper I needed,…
When straightening up my craft area recently I came across a stash of colored papers in various shades of green. It was perfect to make a shamrock door decoration like Jennifer of The Craft Patch.
Today’s project is intended to demonstrate another way to use paper reeds in home decor. I made a lot of them when I put together my Valentine’s Day Paper Reed Heart. This time I made a paper reed mirror by gluing leftover reeds to a decorative mirror with a wide frame.
