Ah…the New Year!

I remember this time last year, I chose RENEW as my word for 2020. By March, the world was turned upside down by SARS-CoV-2, aka the coronavirus.

My personal response was not pretty and involved copious amounts of alcohol and television. I was frightened and stir crazy just like everyone else.

There were a few projects here and there that helped elevate my spirits. I’ve rediscovered an old love in embroidery. And may have found a new one with fun vinyl crafts.

Still, I feel I missed an opportunity when we were shut down for a couple months.

Right now I feel a lot like that seedling: fragile and reaching for the light.

That’s why the Word for 2021 is NURTURE.

My goals aren’t that different from 2020. Self care, grow my blogs and tend to my home and family. New for 2021 will be to work on my mindset so I don’t get distracted by things that are outside of my control.

2020 wasn’t the worst year of my life, to be honest. But it won’t be soon forgotten, that’s for sure!
