He’s not your little boy anymore…and he’s just as hard to buy for as any other guy. Check out this gift guide for your adult son for suggestions he might like.

When my son was little it was so simple to select his presents…the latest gaming system, a few games, some clothes. Now he’s all grown up and buys his own toys (and clothes). Still, I’d like to gift him with something that acknowledges the man he is today, not the little boy who used to sit on my lap while I read to him. So, with the help of Etsy, I’ve assembled a manly gift guide for your adult son. I hope it’s useful to you.
You’re probably thinking Etsy is the last place you’d look for guy gifts and I’ll admit I was pleasantly surprised to find so many products that would appeal to men of all ages and temperaments.
Etsy’s search is pretty powerful and you can limit the results to vendors who ship to your area. This was handy for me because I’m browsing from Spain and needed to be sure the items I selected would ship to the United States.
Choosing The Right Gift
The reason it’s difficult to find gifts for men is that they usually don’t wait to purchase something they want or need. They go ahead and get it, whether it’s tools or clothing. Since my son likely already has what he wants, I look at the purchases he’s made as clues to help me select items that support his interests.
Fashion and Accessories
Although he doesn’t have much of an interest in fashion, my son does tend to dress like the rest of his peers. Men’s jewelry and accessories are good choices, especially when they reflect his personal style. Look for items that are either unique or can be personalized to make them one of a kind.
Leather Bracelet from Be Genuine. (Lots of other styles, too)
Beard grooming kit from Maison Lambert
Vintage Look Watch from Serendipity Vita
Travel
My son likes to go on road trips with his friends. They go to out of town concerts or go fishing. Most recently, “the group” travelled to observe the solar eclipse. Based on my observation, decent luggage wasn’t a priority. I know from experience how important it is to be able to manage all of the stuff. These travel accessories will help make his trips more pleasant. All of these leather items can be personalized.
Passport Cover from Portland Leather
Kraken Billfold from Byron House (Other wallets)
Manly Decor
Guys need a way to display their personal style and interests. Gifts like these help them do it. The advantage of purchasing through the vendors on Etsy is that many of them work to order and will work with you to make the gift special.
Wood organizer/charging station from Greta Oto Design
Millenium Falcon Patent Print from Woodprints Shop
Six Pack Holder from Yester Home UK (fill it with an assortment of craft beers for gift giving)
This is just a small sample of the items available from Etsy. There are lots of clothing options, items that will appeal to collectors of all types, kits for hobbyists, special equipment for the cook, and so much more.
Whether the gift is for your son or another guy in your life, have fun finding something that reflects his unique personality and style.
