I mentioned last week that Rick and I were travelling back to Spain. I was sure I’d packed light but it turns out my suitcase weighed more than Rick’s! I’d packed a cookbook called Deep Run Roots (affiliate link) that had been given to me by a dear friend. You may have seen the author’s show, A Chef’s Life on PBS. There was no way I could leave the book behind, it’s loaded with gorgeous recipes made with fresh ingredients, many of which are available to me here in Spain so I’ll be able to recreate them. At any rate, it’s nice to get back to my routine although I’m not back on a regular blog schedule yet.

I wanted to watch my favorite show, Better Call Saul. Do you watch it? It’s not for everyone, but I love a good character driven drama and this one makes use of some amazing camera techniques to help tell a compelling story. Usually, popular American TV shows airs on another night here in Spain but as it turns out, BCS is not available through my provider except through subscription. Now, Rick and I have been talking about doing this but I’m not fluent enough in Spanish to handle it myself.
Not wanting to wait, as this week’s episode promised to be a tense showdown between two main characters, I decided to check Netflix, which is showing BCS in England on a per episode basis…no luck…only Season One is available in Spain.
Next, I tried streaming directly from AMC but the video can’t be streamed here.
Now at this point I have a couple options. I could torrent it– like the kids do– but I have no idea how that works. I can use a VPN (virtual private network) which makes it look like I’m logged into a computer in the US so I could stream the video. That’s an expensive option and not worth it if we set up a subscription through MoviStar, our provider, which as I mentioned I had to wait for Rick to arrange.

Whew! Long story! Hang on, I’m getting there…

Finally, I decided to check Amazon where I finally bit the bullet and became a Prime Member (affiliate link) in March (totally worth it if you order a lot of stuff like we do). Lo and behold I was able to purchase the episode and watch. It was as good an episode as any I’ve seen on the show. Where there’s a will there’s a way, hahaha.

Here’s this week’s featured post!

Don’t you hate when your appliances don’t match? It happens, especially when you are operating on with a budget. You will want to check out the solution Cassie Smallwood found to make her dishwasher match her stainless and black fridge and stove. While you’re visiting her blog be sure to check out some of her other posts. She has some great home decor projects and fun recipes, too!

On to the party!

Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week! Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU! Thanks for sharing your project with us! Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing posts on various social media channels during the week. We’re growing and that’s a good thing, although as the party gets larger it will be more difficult for me to visit and comment on every link. So I’m counting on you guys to help out. Please try to find time to visit a link or two yourself and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done!

There are just a few simple rules:

-Link to a specific post, not your home page.

-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.

-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.

-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.

Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog. Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress. Could you do us a favor and share the party on Twitter before linking up?
