Creatively Crafty Link Party #290

Last Updated on March 21, 2022 by lydiaf1963

Wendy at The Inspired Eater has a timely post about how to embrace a plateau when you’re working on losing a lot of weight. It’s timely because I’m in the middle of losing a significant amount of weight AND I’m in the middle of moving back to the US. You’ll understand when I say it’s a stressful time.

I feel I missed an opportunity during the Covid lockdowns. I went the comfort food and adult beverage route and ended up weighing more than ever. I also was experiencing daily joint pain, heartburn and other symptoms that go with carrying too much weight. I’ve lost 25 pounds so far and hoped to lose 30 by the time we returned to Maryland. That’s not going to happen.

However, as Wendy points out, not gaining is also a victory. As are sleeping better, less pain, the ability to cook an entire meal without sitting down, clothes that are too loose, etc, etc, etc. All that is happening for me. So I’m not terribly upset about not reaching my goal. There’s plenty of time after we return home to continue my journey.

I’m a firm believer that losing weight even after menopause is a matter of finding an eating plan that works for YOU and your season of life. Your plan may not be the same as your sister’s. Drop by The Inspired Eater and see if Wendy’s plan resonates with your weight loss philosophy.

Welcome to the Creatively Crafty Link Party hosted by the Creative Crafters Blogging Group! You’ve worked hard on your project, and it looks great! Share it with us and get the kudos you deserve! Any and all creative endeavors are welcome…crafts, original writing, recipes, DIY tutorials, you name it!

On to the party!

Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week! Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU! Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. Check them out here:

 Try it – Like it

Thanks for sharing your project with us! Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing posts on various social media channels during the week. We’re growing and that’s a good thing, although as the party gets larger it will be more difficult for me to visit and comment on every link. So I’m counting on you guys to help out. Please try to find time to visit a link or two yourself and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done!

There are just a few simple rules:

-Link to a specific post, not your home page.

-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.

-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.

-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.

Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog. Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress. Could you do us a favor and share the party on Twitter before linking up?

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
