Creatively Crafty Link Party #281
Claire Justine shared a small batch recipe for Earl Grey Blueberry Jam that really caught my imagination!
As many of you know, I also have a food blog (there’s a link on the sidebar). When I make jam it tends to be a small batch that can go right into the fridge. Claire Justine not only details how to make her Earl Grey Blueberry Jam but also provides links to other jam and marmalade recipes you’ll want to try. (Whiskey Sour marmalade? hmmm….)
My Aunt Nancy introduced me to Earl Grey tea long before Captain Picard ordered his first cup from the replicator on Star Trek: The Next Generation. I love the flavor of the bergamot. It would go so well with the blueberry.
As an aside, I saw an interview with Patrick Stewart where he confessed his preference to Yorkshire Gold tea. It was kinda funny, actually. And he’s still my “boyfriend” regardless, hahaha.
He knits, too.
Back to jam. They process their home canned goods differently over here in Europe but there’s no reason you can’t follow the recipe in North America. Either use standard jars and a water bath OR keep your jam in the fridge (I’ll often make an even smaller batch…just keep the proportions of fruit to sugar the same and it will usually be fine.)
Small batch jams can also be doubled. The extras make lovely gifts.
Welcome to the Creatively Crafty Link Party hosted by the Creative Crafters Blogging Group! You’ve worked hard on your project, and it looks great! Share it with us and get the kudos you deserve! Any and all creative endeavors are welcome…crafts, original writing, recipes, DIY tutorials, you name it!
On to the party!
Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week! Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU! Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. Check them out here:
Thanks for sharing your project with us! Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing posts on various social media channels during the week. We’re growing and that’s a good thing, although as the party gets larger it will be more difficult for me to visit and comment on every link. So I’m counting on you guys to help out. Please try to find time to visit a link or two yourself and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done!
There are just a few simple rules:
-Link to a specific post, not your home page.
-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog. Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress. Could you do us a favor and share the party on Twitter before linking up?
The jam sounds wonderful, I’ve never made jam before, might have to try! Thanks for the party Lydia, love the Santa jammies!
Lydia, my “life beyond the kitchen” seems to include food much of the time! 😁 I probably paint more fruits and vegetables than any other subject. Guess you can take the cook out of the kitchen but not the kitchen out of the cook!
