Creatively Crafty Link Party #267

One of my favorite childhood memories was my Nana patiently playing endless games of Chinese checkers with her grandchildren. She had a metal set with drawers to hold the marbles. I think the other side was regular checkers, but we didn’t play that nearly as often. As we got older, she taught us how to play dominoes, canasta, rummy and eventually pinochle. She was a bit of a shark, to be honest, but it was all fun.

So you can imagine my little squeal when I saw Lisa S’s upcycled plant stand.

Drop by Fresh Vintage by Lisa S to learn a little more about the history of the game, see her collection of vintage boards and find out how she put it all together. It’s a great little table that can be used for more than holding a pretty plant.

The fourth week of Lent is drawing to a close and I’m over halfway through the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. If you’ve read the books you know I’m in the part of the tale that drags a bit. New characters are introduced and the story doesn’t advance a whole lot. The good news is that since this is only my second read of the last novels I’m uncovering a lot of details I missed the first time around!

We sci-fi and fantasy fans love convoluted stories, what can I say?

Welcome to the Creatively Crafty Link Party hosted by the Creative Crafters Blogging Group! You’ve worked hard on your project, and it looks great! Share it with us and get the kudos you deserve! Any and all creative endeavors are welcome…crafts, original writing, recipes, DIY tutorials, you name it!

On to the party!

Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week! Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU!  Try it – Like it

Thanks for sharing your project with us! Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing posts on various social media channels during the week. We’re growing and that’s a good thing, although as the party gets larger it will be more difficult for me to visit and comment on every link. So I’m counting on you guys to help out. Please try to find time to visit a link or two yourself and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done!

There are just a few simple rules:

-Link to a specific post, not your home page.

-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.

-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.

-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.

Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog. Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress. Could you do us a favor and share the party on Twitter before linking up?

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. My Grandma Anne used to visit us every other summer and she played every card game known. We’d stay up all hours of the night and then wait by her door until she woke up to get her to play with us again. She was an amazing woman. I only wished we’d lived closer to her.

    Thanks for hosting.

  2. Lydia,
I squealed when I saw my Table featured! Thank you so much . It is so awesome we share the same memories with our Nana. She is also the competitive one :0 We have all learned to be gracious at not winning EVER! We knew if we came close we were pretty good.
I love a good loud game with lots of giggling!
