Creatively Crafty Link Party #22

Welcome to the Creatively Crafty Link Party hosted by the Creative Crafters Blogging Group! You’ve worked hard on your project, and it looks great! It’s warming up here. The typical day is cool in the morning, then around two or so it starts to really heat up. Everyone hugs the little bit of shade in the street or retreats inside. We don’t have air conditioning but we’ve learned to manage. Our apartment has steel curtains (called persianas). We lower them almost all the way down to block the hot sun but still allow the breeze to blow through. When we open the windows in the back of the apartment a convection current forms and pulls air into the house. Once the sun starts to set the breeze picks up and things cool down. It’s a good system for us although without the persianas the sun would warm up the apartment unbearably.

When it’s cooler in the evening people leave their homes to walk in the parks, window shop or enjoy some ice cream.

With the warmer weather we decided to head to the beaches of Santander in the north of Spain…and had an interesting day. You can read more about it here.

There’s something about felt crafts that really charms me and this tablet case from Maarit at M’Made DIY has several elements that make me smile. I’m not sure if I like the crocheted flowers or the contrasting stitching better, but I would be happy to store my kindle inside. There’s even a pocket to tuck your smartphone into if you like.
