This is our last week in the US. We’ve been spending time with friends, family and most important our grandson! What a change in just the couple of months we’ve been home. He loves to be outside and “help” his father with the yard work. His communication style involves pointing and grunting. P has a new cousin now, just a week old. Last weekend we spent some time sewing baby blankets, burp cloths, bibs and pacifier pouches. P helped by sorting the clips and grunting his approval of the finished pieces.

Like this triangular pouch? We followed this great tutorial from Vanessa The Crafty Gemini. It has a fun shape and is perfect for holding a pacifier.

And now…this week’s Featured Post!

I love the process Leen demonstrates to create this cute baby blanket (babies are an unofficial theme this week!). The sheep are knit with a super fluffy yarn and the details are embroidered on. To cover all the loose ends on the back she used a coordinating piece of fabric. Isn’t it sweet? You could use any color for the background. She doesn’t provide a chart for the sheep, but I’m sure you could find either a knitting or cross stitch chart that will suit.

The yellow is so bright and cheery. I could see it in a soft green, too. Use Google translate to access the instructions.
